Learn more about the Lincoln County Community Outreach Program, our mission, and the impact we're making in Lincoln County, West Virginia. We're dedicated to helping residents live fuller, more productive lives through outreach, education, and stigma reduction.

Our mission

The Lincoln County Community Outreach Program was created in 2017 as a Facebook Group to support individuals struggling with substance use disorder in Lincoln County. In 2019, we became an official 501(c)3 nonprofit. We provide direct services to the community through our mobile outreach events, which offer food and essential supplies. We also provide referrals and transportation to treatment for substance use disorder or mental health disorders. Education is a key component of our mission, offering basic suicide prevention training (QPR) and Youth Mental Health First Aid. To combat opioid-related deaths, we provide naloxone trainings and distribution. Our goal is to help residents of Lincoln County live fuller, more productive lives through comprehensive outreach efforts, education, and stigma reduction.

Our vision for lincoln county

The LCCOP strives to help Lincoln County residents live fuller, more productive lives. We hope to assist in reducing stigma surrounding mental health disorders and substance use, educate our community, and reduce the death rate associated with these topics. We envision a Lincoln County where all residents have access to the resources and support they need to thrive.

What makes us different?

Lincoln County Community Outreach Program is different from other organizations because we strive to meet people where they are. We don't just sit behind a desk or wait for the phone to ring. We come to you, where you are in the community, and provide all the resources that we have available. We meet people where they are, but we don't leave them there.

"Just last week, the LCCOP was contacted by a local church in the middle of the night to come assist a person experiencing homeless, who was also an amputee. The LCCOP leaped into action and transported this man one hour away to the local city mission, where he would have a warm bed for the evening. The LCCOP also provided resources for additional needed services, a blessing bag with basic needs items, and naloxone."
